I had a little dilema with this. I drew it, as you do, and realised it was in Black and White. Duhh.  I then also realised that a lot of the time i think in Black and White. And sadly, this dress was not meant to be Black and White. At least not in my mind, or when/if it's made. I haven't actually decided on a colour. It will be snake-skin. Real I hope, and only that if it's from a dead snake. Possibly also if it's from a very over-populated snake. I wonder if King snakes are over-populated. One of those would be nice.
