Scallop Dress (for a bridesmaid) |
I'd never really designed/drew a bridesmaid dress before. It was always a brides dress, and then being so engrossed in that, I forgot that bridesmaids existed. But, here we are, my very first [bridesmaid] dress. (It's very traditional as it shoul be, but my next one I design won't, it'll be more colourful I think!). I've decided that it should be white, but not as white as the wedding dress, sort of creamy, but not yellow. You might think i'm being overly specific, but it's somebodies wedding day, and what's worse that having a yellowy-creamy dress. To me it's like when they paint houses 'cream' but they end up looking like pale custard. Not that anythings wrong with custard, I love it, but on a house? They look best when their close to white. And to me, the same goes for wedding attire. Also, because children like to make a mess of almost everything they wear, it will be made of chiffon so the creases won't show too much. Genius.
