Hotel New York is located on the Kop-van-Zuid in Rotterdam, Nederland. Because most of Rotterdam was flattened during the war most buildings are post 1945. HNY is an exception and it is really lovely to see an important historic building in the midst of new development (see the fire station in the first image which is almost ON TOP of HNY).
The croquette you can see in the last image is the Dutch "kroket" (made with beef and other stuff i'd rather not know about). However it is a must to try and also usually the first thing I eat (and smell and see) when I arrive in Nederland.
I'd also like to apologise for the quality of my photos in all previous posts and most future posts; (a) I take them with my iPhone, (b) I can't afford a camera and (c) I'm even more terrible at taking pictures than I am at dancing (which is so bad it actually improves when I'm not sober).
