One day in December we had a powercut/too windy for school day so I stayed home (that's just too bad right?). Online i'd seen an idea of using watercolour and a pen of the same colour to do sketches and I took half of this idea and then half of the idea of Miley's VMA hair buns and ended up with these.
As you can probably see I focused a lot on the idea of using two fabrics; translucent for the sleeves and then what could either be silk or chiffon for the body and cuffs, and then worked around this with floral and elegant shapes. If you were to ask what the inspiration would have been I guess it would be boredom and watercolour brushstrokes and the movement of watercolours paint on paper and then. I guess, the movement of water. It would probably sound so much better if I said something like flower petals or some other type of romantic theme but that wouldn't be right. Either way I'm happy with the result (although I'm pretty sure Miley would NEVER wear any of them in the near future).
